Drum Lifespan and Print Quality
The Brother DR-520 / DR-620 compatible Premium Tone CU026 drum unit offers an advertised lifespan of up to approximately 25,000 pages.
The drum is a separate component from the toner cartridge. It helps form the printed image and must be replaced when it reaches the end of its service life or when print quality deteriorates.
Unlike toner cartridges, drum lifespan is not measured according to the ISO/IEC 19752 toner yield standard.
Actual drum life may vary depending on pages per print job, paper type, environmental conditions and printer usage.
DR-520 / DR-620 Drum Installation and Counter Reset
Important: after installing a new DR-520 or DR-620 drum, you may need to reset the drum counter on your Brother printer.
The reset procedure varies by printer model. A drum counter reset should normally be performed when installing a new drum, not simply to clear a warning.
If the drum replacement message remains displayed, contact André Ink for free assistance.
